no one has said that and this service wouldn't be at all able to pick up off the ground if that were true. How many people have optics? Basically no one. Ethernet is incredibly fast, it's just that cable providers don't allow mega-transfer speeds. Because to them all they have to do is give the consumer bare essentials as far as speed and they'll never complain. As soon as there is a need for really high speed, that's when you'll see companies compete.

I still don't like the price. Seriously, it's hard to compare this with the PS3 skus. But when you pay 480, instead of 500 + BR drive. That makes Microsofts stance clear. They don't think people want HD players.
Also it means Microsoft knows Sony CAN'T drop their price for years because their loosing at least 200-300 per console. Hence the phasing out of the smaller model(which may or may not be true). See the bottom line is that MS knows that the uber techies NEED this x...
One again, gears was published by microsoft and epic TOGETHER. It's a sealed title and sequels for the 360.
well microsoft makes that decision simple for you, they own Bungie so the Halo franchise isn't going anywhere.
And not everybody can afford to spend 1200 on both consoles and a couple games. So be happy your parents or yourself can spend that kind of money so freely.
kidding themselves is all they have. It's the illusion of hope people like DJ have that everything the PS3 is going to offer will be better in every way possible.
Now in order to balance this post I want to go on record that PS3 does have killer games in the future. However none I'm genuinely interested in and that's my opinion. If you want a PS3 for the games and whatever go knock yourself out, just find the console that's the best match for you.
I'm telling you guys, I think their going to add rocket packs in this game. Which should add to the enormous amount of other aspects of game play like the shield system and gravity adjustments and others I'm forgetting.

Halo 2 was the highest grossing or greatest day in entertainment history as they say. Why would Halo 3 not beat that record? So many people I know are waiting for halo 3 before they buy a 360 so it'll be interesting to see if MS allocates enough or too little units upon it's arrival.

For example they say gears sold about 3 million about a month ago and now when they announced they hit 4 million it immediately spiked up 1 million more no more than a week after the announcement.
There's more examples but, bottomline is that they AREN'T ACCURATE, by a long shot.
